Ade Oyelami

Textile Artist/Painter, from Nigeria

Ade is a third-generation Oshogbo artist and an explorer of Yoruba culture. He is a relative of Chief Muraina Oyelami, who inspired him to become an artist. Chief Jimoh Buraimoh, who along with Muraina were among the first participants in the Oshogbo movement, also mentored him. Ade has mastered the medium of batik and established his own style with great success.
