Casimir (Cazi) Bationo

Painter, from Burkina Faso

Casir Balibié Bationo(CasziB) was born in 1982 in Adjamé, Ivory Coast. He is from the Lélé ethnic group in northwestern Burkina Faso. He currently lives and works in Meknes, Morocco.

Casimir has exhibited in Benin, France, Congo-Kinshasa, Switzerland, the United States, Mozambique, Morocco, and Turkey.  He considers his art to be universal and in constant motion like the world. Through the play of colors, contrasts, shapes, lines, and their arrangement, Bationo endeavors to make his works live and vibrate, inviting viewers to interact with his subject matter.
