Daniel Rakgoathe

Printmaker, from South Africa

Daniel studied at an art Teachers Training college and taught for many years. In 1969 he completed a fine arts course at Rorkes Drift, and was appointed Cultural Officer for Johanesburg.  He was later awarded a Fulbright scholarship, and in 1983 completed an MA  degree in African Studies at UCLA. He returned to South Africa to teach. He was a good friend of Cyprian Shilakoe.
