Spiritualism,
oil on canvas,
dimensions: 36" x 24"

"Spirituality is a very serious subject for me; "Spiritualism" deals with the forces that surround us. Sometimes inexplicable things happen to us that make us aware of the existence of a higher authority. I personally believe in this higher, powerful being - God. For me this force is very real and in order to be closer to it, and for that power to work within me, I have a need for spiritual communication through prayer and the Holy Spirit. This painting explores how the force of God can work as spiritual fulfillment and the longing for a higher force to dwell within us. The bible says "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God", and so it is that we are designed to be spiritual, to pray, to worship. We cannot live without the word of God, therefore, we cannot live without God. "
